Do you have a retail location? TOP
Potomac Soap Company does not have a retail location. Unfortunately, our manufacturing facility is not open to the public. At this time we only distribute our products via expos, craft shows and fairs, home parties and mail order only. How are products shipped? TOP
We ship all orders using USPS Priority Mail with Delivery Confirmation. When will I receive my order? TOP
Delivery of your in-stock items can take 6 to 10 business days, depending on the destination. Business days are Monday-Friday, excluding federal holidays, within the United States. Items not currently in-stock will ship when they become available. Do you offer custom fragrances? TOP
Contact us if you are looking for a specific fragrance. Chances are we have it in stock, just not available online. Why do you use preservatives? TOP
All of our products contain a skin safe synthetic preservative. They is no known safe "natural" preservative. Rosemary oil extract and vitamin E only extend the shelf life of oils, not prevent bacterial growth.
If we did not include a preservative in our formulas, each moisturizer would need to be stored in a refridgerator and our sugar scrubs could not be used near water in the shower or tub.
We feel very comfortable using our paraben free preservatives. If you have more questions, feel free to contact us for more information. What is petrolatum? TOP
Petrolatum is a by-product in the distillation of petroleum to produce gasoline and other petroleum based products from crude oil. Yes, it is natural, but ask yourself, do you really want to cover your skin in a by-product that you put into your car?
Mineral oil is the same as petrolatum. It is very, very inexpensive and used in many cosmetic formulas to save on cost. Check your labels. You won't find any petroleum ingredients in any of our products.
